Continuing a years-long tradition started by the late Phyllis DeLapp, Andrew and Kitsy Babb provided dozens of coats for students at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind.
Phyllis DeLapp, Andrew’s mother, donated coats to the students for many years and served as a trustee of the SCSDB Foundation from 1999 to 2012. Her daughter-in-law, Kitsy Babb, also served as a trustee for nine years. This year, Andrew and Kitsy Babb purchased coats with each student’s unique style in mind.
“The holiday season is a prime time for family traditions and generosity,” said Sam Hook, Director of the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind Foundation. “We are grateful that Andrew and Kitsy have chosen to continue their family’s holiday tradition of giving coats to our students who need them.”
