Day 3

Day 3

July 12th 2024

Today is Collector Car Appreciation Day.  This day is celebrated annually to raise awareness regarding the importance of automotive restoration as well as the hobby of collecting cars.  Restoring and collecting cars plays an essential role in American society since it highlights the lucrative car business that the U.S. has greatly benefited from.

We think back to June 15 when the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind Foundation held our Inaugural Car, Truck, & Motorcycle Show.  We had a great turnout with over 50 cars, trucks, and motorcycles entered into the show.  The event featured not only an impressive array of vehicles but also family-friendly activities and food trucks.

This event would not have been possible without our presenting sponsors:  Spartanburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Harley Davidson of Greenville.  We would also like to thank our Gold Sponsors:  BMW Plant Spartanburg, Spartanburg Imports, and the Timken Company; and our Bronze Sponsors:  Benson Chrysler Dodge Jeep & Ram and Bolton-James Tires & Alignment.  With the support of our sponsors, this year’s event raised over $29,000 to support the programs and activities offered to the students at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind.
