Kristi Harding came to South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind in 2018. She currently serves as the director of education and special education services. Prior to coming she had worked in Spartanburg District 7 for two years, and before that had 19 years of experience with Greenville County Schools supporting students, families and programs in the area of low incidence disabilities. Kristi wants to see our students become as independent as possible when they leave the school with wide-open opportunities for further education and employment. The SCSDB Foundation works closely with Kristi to identify the projects that will have the most benefit to our students.
Kristi holds an education specialist’s degree with principal certification from Arkansas State University. She completed a master’s degree in special education from Grand Canyon University. She completed her bachelor’s degree in elementary education for Bob Jones University.
When not on campus, Kristi enjoys spending time with her husband Bob, her five adult children and their spouses, and her 12 grandchildren. She dabbles in ceramics when time allows.
