Day 48

Today we are highlighting one of our community partners:  the Mary Black Foundation.  The Mary Black Foundation was established as an independent grantmaking organization focused on improving the health and well-being of the people and communities of Spartanburg County, SC. Their vision is a welcoming and connected community where all residents can achieve health and well-being.  They have really taken this to heart when it comes to the students at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind (SCSDB).  Over the last 20 years, the Mary Black Foundation has donated over $130,000 to support numerous projects that benefit the students at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind.  These projects range from helping us resurface the track to capacity building grants to help the Foundation grow.  We would not have been able to accomplish these projects that have made such an impact on the lives of our students without the Mary Black Foundation.  We are so thankful for all our partners who help us engage, empower, and equip our students for success.
