Day 5

Today we are highlighting one of our community partners:  The Spartanburg County Foundation.  The Spartanburg County Foundation’s vision is for all Spartanburg County residents to achieve their human potential through continuous improvement in quality of life, educational achievement, and economic mobility.  They have really taken this to heart when it comes to the students at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind (SCSDB).  Since the SCSDB Foundation was founded in 1979, The Spartanburg County Foundation has donated over $200,000 and supported over 15 projects that benefit the students at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind.  These projects range from helping us build new playgrounds on campus to providing our students with books to read both on campus and at home.  We would not have been able to accomplish these projects that have made such an impact on the lives of our students without The Spartanburg County Foundation.  We are so thankful for all our partners who help us engage, empower, and equip our students for success.
